- Paid travel time and mileage - paid at every pay period.
- Set Schedule from Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, as well as an On-Call Rotation (Including rotational weekends and evenings) – Supervisors of Client Services work a fixed schedule, consisting of 70 hours bi-weekly – Work-life balance is important for you and our clients. This position is currently located in Barrie. Your site office may change to a different location in Simcoe County based on operational needs.

The Supervisor of Client Services provides leadership to ILS Attendants in delivery of client services. This position will advance a positive work culture, while managing risk and ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures within ILS. The Supervisor of Client Services will monitor the quality of care that is delivered to clients and be responsible for the supervision of the daily coordination and operations of the Client services within assigned areas. Reporting to the Manager of Client Services, this leader will be a key player in managing the Attendants who are delivering quality care to ILS clients.
Program and Organizational Management
- Work closely with the Client Services Team members to plan and coordinate the delivery of services for new admissions while mitigating risk.
- Provide orientation and education for Clients on their rights and responsibilities.
- Network with partner agencies/groups, and joint problem solving to ensure that the clients meet their goals.
- Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness and recommend changes required for improvement.
- Maintain acuate electronic files and required records as identified.
- Responsible for the satellite office day-to-day operations.
- Participate in the planning of new initiatives and/or modified program changes.
- Monitor program targets and ensure timely admissions in collaboration with Client Service Coordinator.
- Ensure clients receive an appropriate level of service to maintain their independence in the community according to their Individualized Service Plan.
- Prepare annual Service Agreements and conduct home visits.
- Conduct RAI CHA assessments to support updates to the annual client ISP.
- Respond to all Client inquiries and issues in a sensitive, efficient, and professional manner.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, supervising, and evaluating Attendants.
- In collaboration with Client Service Planners create; adjust employee’s schedules to reflect the current client needs to meet service requests efficiently.
- Hold team meetings to promote and enhance communication, expectations, and to provide program updates.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with team members.
- Monitor and evaluate Attendants performance and provide feedback.
- Act as a mentor to Attendants supporting conflict resolution and problem solving and personal growth.
- Adheres to Agency’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and ensures a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
Education and Experience Required
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in the human services or other health care related field
- 2-4 years of Supervisory experience with community support sector or other related field preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources and relevant legislation related to community support services.
- Experience working in a unionized setting.
- Experience with the interRAI assessments tools.
- Experience using Microsoft computer software, and Databases for the purpose of scheduling, statistical tracking, and reporting.
- Demonstrate ability to motivate staff, knowledge, and capable in applying principles of coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Demonstrate customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate and foster a culture where others feel empowered and bring forward concerns and/or ideas.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written, active listening).
- Highly organized, ability to prioritize work assignments, and excellent time management skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other team members and partner agencies.
- Access to reliable transportation and valid Ontario driver’s license.
This position will participate in an On-Call rotation. The purpose of the Client Service On-Call is to respond to after-hours-time sensitive safety situations and unplanned scheduling matters for staff and clients that occur outside of ILS‘s regular Planning Centre business hours.

This is a 24-month Contract Full-Time position with the possibility of extension. Scheduled time in the Barrie office will be required, as well as some travel within Simcoe County. Your site office may change to a different location in Simcoe County based on operational needs.
